Michelle Fuller, Co-President:
Michelle, an avid "foodie" for over 20 years, became involved with the TCCSG over 12 years ago. Michelle began baking for a child who had been diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Soon she was introduced to the TCCSG and she began selling her homemade gluten free products to them . For several years Michelle made gluten free products for the group and would sell them at their meetings and in some cases out of the back of her car. After a couple of years of home baking Michelle, with the encouragement of the former president Mary Gurrerrio opened Celiac Specialties in June of 2003. Michigan's first dedicated gluten free bakery. Michelle's vision was to create a place where a person diagnosed with Celiac Disease and the average "joe" off the street could come and have a coffee and a donut without having to explain their dietary condition. After 7 years of gluten free baking in Chesterfield Celiac Specialties opened its second store in Novi Michigan. Michelle has been actively participating in food shows across the county and ships her products nationally. Michelle is currently serving as co-president of the TCCSG. Her goal for the group is to keep information up to date and reach out to new and old members with ideas for guest speakers and events. Michelle lives in Rochester Hills with her Husband and 3 children.
